Note:

  • This project received funding from the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) through the Common Fund’s SPARC program, as part of o2S2PARC - the Open Online Simulations for Stimulating Peripheral Activity to Relieve Conditions.
  • The structural MRI and CT images used to segment the rat anatomy were acquired by the Animal Image Center of ETH Zurich and University Zurich.
    • The peripheral nerves included in the rat model have not been added via image-based segmentation. Several available atlases and 3D models have been used as reference guides to insert nerve trajectories into the model and to ensure anatomically correct relations with other tissues and organs.
