NIEHS Press Release on NTP Study of Cell Phone RF Radiation and Carcinogensis in Rats

The National Toxicology Program (NTP) of NIEHS released a report entitled, “Report of Partial Findings From the National Toxicology Program Carcinogenesis Studies of Cell Phone Radiofrequency Radiation in Hsd: Sprague Dawley SD Rats (Whole Body Exposure).” This was a joint study with the IT'IS Foundation.

The IT'IS Foundation won the best poster award in a joint session on High Field Systems & Applications and MR Safety at the 24th Annual Meeting of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) in Singapore, 7 – 13 May 2016. Earl Zastrow presented the poster entitled "Development of a Set of Generic Numerical Birdcages for Comprehensive Evaluations of Induced RF Fields for Implant Safety."

Twenty IT'IS, SPEAG, and ZMT co-workers convened for two-day retreat, 01 – 02 February 2016, held at the Hotel Frutt Lodge & SPA, in Melchsee-Frutt, Canton Obwalden. The goal of the retreat was to learn how to spot trends and become a trend setter, to master sales, to assess the current status of the organization, and to establish measures for improvement.

Virtual Family Cited by FDA Expert Witness during US Senate Committee Hearing

Jeffrey Shuren, MD, JD, Director of the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) of the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), described the use of the Virtual Family (VF) models – developed in a international collaboration led by the IT’IS Foundation and the FDA – for electromagnetic, thermal, acoustic, and computational fluid dynamics simulations that could be used to supplement or even replace data from clinical investigations of new devices.
