BioEM2015, the annual joint meeting of the Bioelectromagnetics Society (BEMS) and the European BioElectromagnetics Association (EBEA), was held June 14 – 19, 2015 at the Asilomar Conference Center in Pacific Grove, California. Prof. Niels Kuster of the IT’IS Foundation and treasurer of the EBEA, represented the EBEA as co-chair of the BioEM2015 Technical Program Committee.

ESHO2015 – the 30th Annual Meeting of the European Society for Hyperthermic Oncology, Co-organized by the IT'IS Foundation

The IT’IS Foundation for Research on Information Technologies in Society together with the Kantonsspital Aarau joined forces to organize the 30^th annual meeting of the European Society for Hyperthermic Oncology – ESHO2015 – the flagship event of the thermal cancer therapy community, held June 24 – 26, 2015 in Aarau and Zurich.

IT’IS/SPEAG win the Best Symposium Paper Award at the APEMC2015 Conference

Our paper “EMC/EMI Near-field Testbed for EM Phasor Measurements Using Active Optical Sensors,” featuring the latest research in near-field EMC/EMI scanning technologies implemented in SPEAG’s TDS and ICEy systems, was awarded the Best Symposium Paper Award at the 2015 Asia-Pacific International EMC Symposium in Taipei, Taiwan.

IT’IS Releases New Online Fluid Properties Database and Publishes References Used to Determine Database Values

The IT’IS Foundation announces the release of a new database of fluid properties to complement the existing material parameters database. The new database compiles values on temperature-dependent viscosity, density, heat capacity, and thermal conductivity values for specific fluids. Also newly available are tabulated lists of the references used to determine the values in both the material parameters and fluid properties databases. The new format of the reference list links each database entry to a pdf of the reference(s) used to generate the value.
