Embedded Software Engineer

Zurich43 is a leading global player in delivering break-through innovations and creating outstanding products for the safe and beneficial application of electromagnetic energy and information technologies, as well as for novel and personalized medical treatments. We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, and experienced Embedded Software Engineer.

Your challenges:

  • Implementation of user interfaces, hardware link layers, firmware, real-time automation, and control solutions for our advanced measurement systems
  • Development of software for Z43’s future instruments and devices on multiple platforms
  • Contribution to the software architecture and the development of software components up to the production of the series and market introduction of the systems
  • Development of cutting-edge products beyond the state-of-the-art in a highly dynamic and growing market
  • Fulfillment of the highest quality standards in all aspects of your daily work

Your strengths:

  • Bachelor, Master’s, or PhD degree (university of applied sciences or university) in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering
  • Advanced development and close-to-hardware debugging skills in C / C++, experience with BOOST and latest C++ standards and Python is a plus
  • Experience in embedded software development
  • Familiarity with oscilloscopes, protocol, and logic analyzers
  • Ability to comprehend hardware data sheets and schematics
  • Capability to translate high-level descriptions to technical requirements and implementations
  • Experience in the use different types of automated testing (unit testing, continuous integration)
  • Experience with tools like Visual Studio, Git, CMake is a plus
  • Self-motivation, willingness to take on responsibilities
  • Excellent collaborative skills
  • Appreciation for work in accordance with agile principles like Scrum
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and preferably also in German
