US Senate Hearing on the Health Effects of Cell Phone Use
During the September 14, 2009 US Senate hearing on health effects of cell phone use chaired by Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA), Dr. John Bucher, Associate Director of the National Toxicology Program of NIEHS, prominently displayed photos of the IT'IS Exposure Facility at ITRII to demonstrate the quality of the US effort in the evaluation of potential health risks from EMF exposure.
In conjunction with the US Senate hearing, the IT'IS Foundation was invited to present the latest findings and to provide its expertise and advice on exposure assessment and exposure facilities for biological experiments at the “Expert Conference on Cell Phones and Health: Science and Public Policy Questions,” which was held from September 13-15, 2009 in Washington DC.
