On June 16, 2016, facts and figures of the preliminary findings of the US National Toxicology Program (NTP) Study on Cell Phone Radiofrequency Radiation (RFR) and Carcinogensis were presented by the current PI, Michael Wyde, to the experts of the NIEHS Scientific Board. While the preliminary results were critically reviewed and discussed by the members, it was once again pointed out that the two-year bioassay study would not have been possible without the close and efficient collaboration between the four participating institutions NIEHS (USA), NIST (USA), IITRI (USA) and the IT’IS Foundation (Switzerland). The presentation included the description of the 21 reverberation chambers that were exclusively designed and manufactured by IT’IS for this experiment. The exposure systems provided maximum homogeneity and control over the used RFR signals whilst monitoring all device conditions and environmental parameters. The downtime due to technical issues was minimal.
