New replication study to investigate EMF induced DNA damage in human fibroblasts

The Replications-GENOTOX project will focus on the replication of the recently published data demonstrated that intermittent exposure of human fibroblast cells to high and extremely low frequency EMF give rise to significant amounts of DNA strand breaks.

The ELF in vitro exposure setup was installed at the Institute of Biochemistry and Genetics at the University of Basel. The study will clarify whether and to what extent EMF exposure induces DNA strand breaks in human cells.
