IT’IS new Associate Member of ITU-R Study Group 1 – Spectrum Management

The IT’IS Foundation has become a new Associate Member of the Radiocommunication Sector of the ITU, the International Telecommunication Union within the United Nations System. Spectrum Management is the combination of administrative and technical procedures necessary to ensure the efficient utilization of the radio-frequency spectrum by all radiocommunication services defined in ITU Radio regulations and the operation of radio systems without causing harmful interference.  The scope of the ITU-R SG-1 comprises spectrum engineering techniques, spectrum management fundamentals, spectrum monitoring, inter-service sharing and compatibility, and assistance in matters within its competence to developing countries in cooperation with the Telecommunication Development Sector.
