Prof. Sven Hirsch of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) visited Zurich43 with students in the Life Sciences - Applied Computational Life Sciences (ACLS) Master's Program on the afternoon of Monday, January 15, 2018. The visitors were welcomed by IT'IS founding director Niels Kuster before being led as two groups on a tour Z43's research facilities by IT'IS associate director Myles Capstick and Esra Neufeld, IT'IS Project Leader for Computational Life Sciences (CLS). The visit continued with presentations by Esra on the work of the IT'IS CLS group and by Manuel Murbach on MRI safety. It was a great opportunity for the students to experience firsthand a working research facility engaged on problems in their chosen field of study.
