On Wednesday July 11, Dr. Jeffrey Fong of the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) in Gaithersburg MD, USA, visited IT'IS as a guest speaker in the Brown Bag Lunch Seminar series with a talk on "Uncertainty Quantification Tools for Brain Metrology and an Application to the Multimodal Imaging-Based Detailed Anatomical (MIDA) Head-Neck Model."

Niels Kuster Presents Keynote Lecture on IoT at Symposium Co-Organized by the AUDEN Group and the IEEE EMC Chapter

IT'IS Director Niels Kuster presented presented keynote lectures on “EM Evaluation and Optimization of IoT Systems: Standards, Software and Instrumentations” and “Workflow for Demonstration of Compliance of Transmitters Operating above 10 GHz” at a symposium on IoT co-organized by the AUDEN Group and the IEEE EMC Chapter in Taipei on July 4, 2018.

"Brown Bag Lunch" Seminar Series Special Guest Prof Sean Hill

Sean Hill, Professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine and Scientific Director of the Krembil Centre for Neuroinformatics at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto CA, visited the IT'IS Foundation on Monday, July 2. He was a guest speaker in the Brown Bag Lunch Seminar series with a talk on "The Multiscale Brain: Linking Genes, Brain States, Behavior and the Clinic."

Prof. Hill was formerly the Co-Director of the Blue Brain Project of the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), located at Campus Biotech in Geneva. His talk covered his work on the development of large-scale computational models of brain circuitry and neuroinformatics. His talk was well attended, and the audience included two sleep specialists from the University of Zurich and long-time collaborators of IT'IS, Professors Peter Achermann and Reto Huber.

It was a very great pleasure to welcome Prof. Hill to Z43 – many thanks for a riveting presentation!

IT’IS Paper Selected for the June 2018 Cover of Veterinary and Comparative Oncology

A paper co-authored by several researchers of the IT’IS Foundation, “Novel hyperthermia applicator system allows adaptive treatment planning: Preliminary clinical results in tumour-bearing animal”, is on the cover of the June 2018 issue of the June 2018 issue of the journal.

Perfusion Phantom Debut at ISMRM-ESMRBM 2018 in Paris
