Z43 Visit to the Wyss Center at Campus Biotech in Geneva

Niels Kuster, founding Director of the IT'IS Foundation, together with IT'IS Scientific Coordinator Mariana Ricca, Head of Computational Life Sciences Esra Neufeld, Head of Software Nicolas Chavannes, and Neurostimulation Project Leader Antonino M. Cassara, joined by ZMT CEO Michael Oberle, visited the Wyss Center for Bio and Neuroengineering at Campus Biotech in Geneva.

The day was structured into a tour of Campus Biotech and its platforms, as well as presentations and discussions. Wyss founding director Dr. John Donoghue started by providing an overview of the Wyss Center, its philosophies, and its research programs. Niels, Esra, and Antonino, in turn, introduced the Wyss group to the neuroscience research programs pursued at Z43, with a particular focus on neuromodulation projects. Discussions – which, in addition to Dr. Donoghue, included Assistant Director Dr. Tracy Laabs, CTO Claude Clément, and several program directors and research scientists and engineers – continued regarding an ongoing project and future collaborations between both partners.

All in all, it was a very fruitful interaction, with much promise for future collaboration!
