Important Milestone in Cancer Therapy

As of January 2017, the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) will include hyperthermia treatment in combination with radiation therapy as a covered therapy in the basic health insurance catalog of Switzerland. A main hyperthermia research partner and board member of the IT’IS Foundation, Professor Stephan Bodis of the Oncology Center of Aarau cantonal hospital and the Institutes for Oncology / Hematology of Baden cantonal hospital, was the driving force behind this great success.
