The current issue of IEEE Microwave Magazine (June 2014) features a report about the 2013 IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) International Microwave Workshop Series on RF and Wireless Technologies for Biomedical and Healthcare Applications (IMWSBio 2013), held 9–11 December 2013 at the Furama Riverfront Hotel in Singapore.
The IEEE IMWS initiative, promoted by the MTT-S Members & Geographic Committee to complement existing workshops of the MTT-S International Microwave Symposium and MTT-S technical and educational activities, serves to nurture international interaction and collaboration. The IEEE, IEEE MTT-S, IEEE Antennas and Propagation (AP) Society, Institution of Engineering and Technology, IEEE Singapore Section, and IEEE MTT/AP Joint Singapore Chapter cosponsored this highly successful and future-looking workshop, which provided a dynamic forum for high-level and creative exchanges among the delegates.
Niels Kuster, attended the workshop and delivered a keynote presentation entitled “In Silico Effectiveness and Safety Evaluations of Active Implantable Neuro-Stimulating Devices: Still A Dream or Soon Reality”. IMWS-Bio 2014 will be held in London, 8–10 December 2014.
