WHO Releases Children's Research Agenda

Children's EMF Research Agenda, World Health Organization.

The Working Group of the World Health Organization has just released its recommendations for studies relevant to the risk of adverse health effects in children from exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMFs). The assessment is based on the Workshop on Childhood Sensitivity to EMFs held in Istanbul in June 2004.
Emphasis was placed on the health effects of extremely low frequency (ELF) magnetic fields on the development of childhood cancer and the potential exposure risk from mobile phone radiofrequency radiation in relation to overall cognitive function and brain cancer. The full research agenda is now available at the WHO website.
