The NRPB Board has published a review update of the 2000 report published by the UK Independent Expert Group on Mobile Phones and Health (IEGMP, Chairman Sir William Stewart). The main conclusion is that there is currently no hard evidence that the health of the public, in general, is being adversely affected by the use of mobile phone technologies. However uncertainties remain and a continued precautionary approach to their use is recommended until the situation is further clarified. Special emphasis was placed on minimizing exposure to potentially vulnerable subgroups such as children. Additional information is available from Microwave News.
