Z43 Expands into New Quarters: Moving to the Frontline!

Z43 is expanding into beautiful new quarters at Ankerstrasse / Kräuelgasse, which include some much-needed meeting spaces. The new workplace, the former headquarters of Fabric Frontline, was inaugurated July 1 with an "Info Day" presentation in the "Salon", followed by an Apéro.

IT'IS Hosts Thermal Dose Workshop 2019

IT'IS hosted a Thermal Dose Workshop at Z43 on April 2–3, 2019, for discussions of critical safety issues in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Participants packed the third-floor meeting room for 2 days of presentations on a wide range of pertinent topics and intense discussion to inform the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) MT40 team working on the draft of the latest version of the MRI safety standard 60601-2-33.

Unified SAR Measurement Standard Moves Forward; 5G and IoT Standards Also Progress

Last week during IEC and IEEE joint meetings in New Jersey, the unified SAR measurement standard IEC/IEEE 62209-1528 passed another milestone towards completion. Publication is expected later this year. Two committee drafts (CDs) for exposure assessment of 5G millimeter-wave devices were positively received and are in preparation for the next stage. The IEEE Guide 1528.7 for IoT devices will complete its first draft in June.
