IT'IS PhD student Yijian Gong was awarded second place in the poster competition for Best Scientific Paper presented by a student at BioEM2013, a joint meeting of the Bioelectromagnetics Society (BEMS) and the European BioElectromagnetics Association (EBEA), held in Thessaloniki, Greece, June 10 – 14, 2013.

Yijian’s poster presentation, entitled “Life Time Dosimetric Assessment for Mice and Rats Exposed to Cell Phone Radiation,” covered detailed aspects of life time dosimetry analysis for rodents exposed to radio frequency radiation, as part of the National Toxicology Program of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. The Awards Committee considered the quality, content, delivery, and organization of the data presented, as well as the presenter’s command of the material, in their selection criteria.
